Biscuit Head

Our first stop was Biscuit Head in Asheville, NC. I've only heard great things about Biscuit Head, so I had to try it out for myself and I knew Charlie couldn't say no to a good biscuit. We arrived at Biscuit Head around 10 a.m. and parked around back, there was plenty of parking, but you do have to pay $2. The line was just outside the door and we ended up waiting for about 15 minutes. The time flew by with the menu in hand. Biscuit Head has done a great job creating a diverse and appetizing menu.

Okay, y'all, they have a jam and butter bar. Yes, you heard me right, they probably had over 20 options to slap on top of their already delicious biscuits. Charlie and I had a little fun and did a blind taste test while we waited on our food. The biscuits came out quick and let me tell you they didn't last too long on our plates.

We had a great time doing these videos, but please bare with us...we aren't technologically advanced.

My order: A coffee and the "Biscuit And..."

-This menu item comes with a biscuit and one side. My one side was, an over easy egg and I also added a side of pulled pork

-I ended up cutting the biscuit in half. I used one half for the egg and pulled pork. As for the other half, I layered on gluten free brownie batter butter with blackberry jam...SO GOOD

-The pulled pork was super juicy and I would highly recommend it

-The coffee was a great dark roast and got me energized for the rest of our trip

Oh also, I had every intention to order a gluten free biscuit, but when I got up to the counter my mind said, "For the love of gluten just order the biscuit," so I did. Now I just have an excuse to go back...and order a gluten free biscuit. I'll let y'all know how it is.

Charlie's order: "Gravy Flight"

-This menu item comes with 3 gravies and a biscuit

-Charlie chose the fried chicken, house-made veggie chorizo and the gravy of the day

-Although he said all were really good, the veggie chorizo was his favorite.

-If you're a gravy lover then get the flight y'all

Freckled Standard:

Location: 4 out of 5 freckles. -I really don't like paying for parking

Atmosphere: 4 out of 5 freckles. I didn't like how the line was in the middle of the dining area, but the restaurant was decorated so cute

Food: 5 out of 5 freckles. Just go eat it!

Service: 5 out of 5 freckles. Very friendly, helpful and wanted you to have a good experience

Price: 4 out of 5 freckles. We spent $20, which isn't bad, but we also got some of the cheaper items on the menu.

Overall we were extremely happy with our short stop at Biscuit Head. Cute little restaurant, great service and fantastic comfort food.
